I’ve been one of Obis biggest critics this season but over the last two weeks or so Obi has shown real improvements. Still has huge flaws and I don’t think he will ever be a all star or anything but he has a path to be a solid role player in the NBA

The silver lining of MPJ's earlier injury problems is that he ended up on a competent team that has crafted a perfect role for him. To me, MPJ is sort of like Lavine. Different players I get it. But basically two guys who are extremely talented offensively, but have certain limitations that will prevent them from being the #1 player on a contending team (my opinion). While Lavine has had a fun career, MPJ might win a title before he's 22 and start cementing a HOF career, and it's also because of the organization he ended up on -- one that wanted to nurture him into being their 2nd / 3rd offensive option, instead of one who really had no choice but to push him into a mismatched role (hoping for. Lavine to be the #1 player on a consistently good team).

The Celtics defense really annoys me, because they have good win defenders but scheme in a way that just lets the other team get just open enough from 3 every possession. and if you look at them on offense, it seems like every 3 they take is either openish but not in the flow of the offense, or is heavily contested, like if the Celtics got the looks they gave other teams from 3 they'd be cooking. I like Stevens but sometimes its like WTF are they doing out there with Smart, Tatum, and Brown who are all good wing defenders get torched by a simple drive and kick every possession. I think Stevens said the problem with the defense is maybe more to do with rotations, but I think it might be a scheme issue, they just allow too many open 3's and I don't understand why because its not like its helping their abysmal interior defense anyway, you might as well just pick 1 to be decent at instead of terrible at both.

I agree that the Knicks have to resign J. Randle this offseason. Then I would be interested in trading for a guy like Beal or Booker, if I don’t have to give up “too much”. If it’s not possible to make a move like that, then I would just sit tight and try to make something happen in free agency.

They peaked with rozier and company. Never thought I’d say that but they don’t share the ball like they use to. Dedication on the defensive end isn’t quite the same and that small difference is why they are just a little short this year. Suffering on the NBA level is to be expected. Everyone but Jordan, Lebron, Russell and a few others experience it and I saw the stress on Dirk’s face. I see it now with Tatum and Brown. They need another glue guy. Someone like Conley, lowery or Paul.

This just goes to show you how important staying "dialed in" is to NBA success. In the last Isaiah season, and the season after that, they played dialed in most of the time, on defense and offense, and were only held back by the lack of a variety of "star power". This year they have objectively better parts, but are loose and sloppy at both ends for big stretches of every game. How the heck do you fix that? Who do you even blame? All of them?
