Electric cars have always been faster than gasoline cars...its just the practicality of gasoline, the ability to fill a tank up in a few minutes and the versatility and fixability of combustion engines that made it better equipped to handle the needs of travellers. Electric vehicles were the very first vehicles as well as electric motors were made hundreds of years before combustion engines were. And combustion engines are still more versatile than electric ones, and allow a greater practical application for modern man than ev's. Combustion engines that are kept from the public also produce better range and power than ones that are mass produced. Combustion engines are superior in almost every way to an ev, and more modern when the latest technology of them are utilized. Really depends on the application. If you're an adventurous spirit and never know where you're going, a gas engine is better suited. If you're confined to strict schedules and spend lots of time in city infrastructures, an ev may be more practical. We still haven't seen the best theres is to come yet, thats for certain. The best combustion engines still sit in GM warehouses, shelved, and the best electric engines haven't even been discovered or invented yet...and thats truth. I don't like cities or having to wait for a car to charge. So, I like the freedom that goes with a decent mileage per gallon gas car. Different strokes for different folks.
